Christine Lock Garcia is the founder and president of Plan It Public Relations and Marketing. An award winning public relations professional with more than a decade of experience in communications management, Garcia started her own business with the desire to provide clients with the outstanding personal service and attention they can best receive from a smaller firm.

Garcia started working in public relations after a long career in broadcast journalism, which included work as an anchor, reporter, and producer. Garcia has several years of public relations experience working with the American Lung Association of Metropolitan Chicago and in the publishing field. She was part of the team that won the 2006 Publicity Club of Chicago Golden Trumpet Award for “Tipping Point”, a successful campaign to make Chicago smoke-free.

Garcia has also worked as at publicist for many authors while working at Sourcebooks, Inc. She was successful in getting coverage on television programs including: ABC’s Good Morning America, The Today Show, Fox and Friends, CNN, NPR programs, Chicago Sun Times, Chicago Tribune, New York Post, Los Angeles Times, Shape Magazine, Ladies Home Journal, Lucky and People.
